The Piranhaconda is a cannibalistic snake that can hunt at night, and it will eat anything in its path. On the other side of the pond, there's a small town called Blackanville Butte...or at least there was. It was abandoned when one of its most famous residents died accidentally in an explosion caused by his own son who wanted to make things safer for everyone. Of course, this triggered yet another accident and the town was left empty until one day something appeared in all its old glory; a food-eating monster that ate anything it could find. The only way to stop it would be to kill the source: Tom Brightstar, son of Col. Brightstar and grandson of Mr. Brightstar. The problem is, Tom's a pacifist and he refuses to kill or hurt others, even when his own life is in danger. How will the Piranhaconda react to a pacifist? Will it kill him? Or will he live to fight another day? In the corporate world of Blackanville Butte, there's not much-to-no respect for Man or God, but when an evil creature attacks the town in the middle of the night, there must be a solution...right? But what approach could be taken against a creature so strong and so unstoppable? Especially one that can take care of itself with anything found in its path...including humanity. Will Mr. Brightstar think the Piranhaconda is God? And will he be able to stop it? This movie was released on August 18, 2012. Interview with director Peter Murphy at the AIP screening on 4/1/2015.
